Setting the tone with rippling keys, immersive guitar and atmospheric vocals, INTERCONTINEN7AL open War’s The Noise with the conceptual yet thought-provoking lyrics, “Outside this town the sky is green, the bullets, they rush in, they feel nothing…”
The opus expands into a meaningful spotlight on war. We learn that INTERCONTINEN7AL is a super group that consists of musicians across all seven continents who have created fourteen original songs for their forthcoming album INTERCONTINEN7AL, Vol. 3 to prove that music can not only survive, but thrive in these pandemic times. The record is set for release in December 2022, and will feature a song with both Ukrainian and Russian musicians on it.
War’s the Noise is the lead single featuring collaborators from Europe, North America, and South America, and the band is donating all proceeds to charity, this time supporting the Ukrainian refugee relief effort.
We appreciate the depth and poetic prowess that INTERCONTINEN7AL share with War’s The Noise, as well as the dimensional soundscape that they create with broad spectrum instrumentation.
The guitar solo is out of this world, generating a sense of nostalgia with classic rock tendencies, fused with an emotional vibrancy and sense of optimism, despite the heavy lyricism. The minimalist fade of out the track is refined, we appreciate the textures and nuance that INTERCONTINEN7AL share to bring their sonic landscape to life.
