We recently featured Mark Winters as he channelled love energy on optimistic and emotive single, It Moves in You, so we were excited to hear his latest release, Positive People!
Establishing the mood with bright and intricate guitar with textured drums, Mark Winters opens Positive People with epic flow and the uplifting lyrics, “Make a better place, a place for the better…”, as he takes us on an empowering journey to be the best version of ourselves.
The opus expands into a quintessential Mark Winters soundscape to deliver meaningful lyricism and poetic prowess, as the wise and worldly artist instills his knowledge and amplifies love energy.
Speaking on the release, Mark says, “I really appreciate people who make the world a better place! Positive People is a special thank you to the many friends and family in my life who encourage me and those around them to make the world shine.”
To celebrate the release, Mark Winters has also shared a Positive People Haiku with us:
Touch my heart today
Make my world shine, you are my
Positive People
The Texas-based Indie-rock musician is a soulful songwriter, a witty poet, passionate musician, an entrepreneur, a family man and a bonafide rocket scientist! His biggest influences are John Mayer, Tom Petty, and Jason Mraz, which we previously references, although Mark is creating a lane of his own with his uplifting brand of pop.
We learn that his music starts from a place of poetry and creative inspiration, and uses his “rocket scientist brain” to find structures that help him explore that initial burst of inspiration and feeling – like writing haikus, which is his favourite!
We appreciate the depth and authenticity with which Mark Winters creates and the much needed optimism that he shares in this day and age. We have added Positive People to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Mark Winters, including Life of 3 and Copper Queen.
