We recently featured Randy Beth for polished single, run, which served as follow up to her moving debut, make a home, so we were thrilled to hear her latest release, kaleidoscope.
Establishing the mood with a cerebral frequency fused with playful, laughing sounds, Randy Beth opens kaleidoscope with atmospheric vocals and the introspective lyrics, “She was a reflection of my light, on an Autumn night, it was a surprise, two hearts one bruise, bury it inside to conceal my truth, I see myself in you…”
The self-aware artist expands the opus with a sensual contemporary pop meets R&B energy, to tell the story of “the joys that lie in the unexpected.” We are in awe of Randy Beth‘s range and vocal timbre and the way that she brings to life the narrative the piece with poetic nuance.
With her soulful sound, and after a lifetime of performing other people’s words on stage, Randy Beth is finally manifesting her dreams and sharing her own stories.
We appreciate the depth of Randy Beth‘s lyricism on kaleidoscope as she sings the hook, “She said it isn’t better when it goes as planned, goes as planned…”, and the wonderful, romantic lyrics, “She took my hand in the back of the car, whispered words of love, a kind that I’d never saw, so content in my own loneliness, I’d sacrifice a masterpiece to avoid all the mess…”
We learn that the single was recorded during Pride Month, and we are here for the vulnerable and self-reflective edge that Randy Beth is sharing with her vision on kaleidoscope.
We have added kaleidoscope to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Randy Beth‘s first two singles, make a home and run!
