Setting the tone with a vibrant synthscape, MIRIAM opens Hitta Hem with an immersive energy and atmospheric vocals. The opus expands into a glistening and anthemic soundscape as MIRIAM touches upon the theme of friendships in the song which means, “Finding Home”.
The build of the track is out-of-this-world, as MIRIAM takes us on an alternative pop journey with maximalist production. Speaking on the release, the rising artist from Sweden tells us, “Hitta Hem (Finding Home) is a melodic, cinematic and happy alt-pop banger, where a massive orchestra meets thunderous drums and lyrics in Swedish about strong friendships”.
We learn that since the release of her debut EP, Det här är, (This Is) in 2020, MIRIAM has opened for Jenny Wilson, been awarded with Skurup Municipality’s Cultural Scholarship 2021, had a zoom meeting with Max Martin and played at famous venues in Sweden such as Mejeriet, Lund.
Elaborating on the depth of Hitta Hem, MIRIAM confesses, “This song is such a perfect example of how I usually write to myself. When different parts and ideas have been buzzing in my head, or in some project on a hard drive, for however long – and then all of a sudden there is a context where everything just clicks.”
Expanding candidly on the intention of the opus, she says “I still get chills when that line of lyrics comes into the first verse. Short and to the point – I got your back, bro. I have a few relationships in my life that are just like that, somewhere between unbreakable friendship or downright undefinable partnership. It is precisely those relationships that I want to pay tribute to in this song. And show that I will always want to understand, forgive and be there.”
We are grateful for the authenticity and depth that MIRIAM shares with her artistry, and have added Hitta Hem to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream her wider discography!
