We recently featured De Antiquis Et Novis for his singles, Afterglow and Calm, so we were excited to hear that he had just released the brand new release, alchemy!
Immersing us with a pulsating drum pad crescendo, expanding into a luscious and dimensional synthscape, De Antiquis Et Novis opens alchemy with intrigue and movement.
Evolving into a vibrant and fierce melodic energy with spliced vocal add libs, the opus already feels euphoric and transcendental. With textured risers and celestial, laser like frequencies intertwines with the bold, EDM-hybrid beat, we are in awe of the composition.
We always appreciate the depth and intricate sonic landscape that De Antiquis Et Novis creates with, and love the fierce riser that takes us into a more euro-pop-dance segment of the piece.
There is a playful edge to the composition, and a more 8-bit energy envelopes us as the piece evolves, eventually returning it’s original form with the pounding synthscape, taking us full circle. The final reprise is climactic and has us reaching for the repeat button!
The artist cites Christopher von Deylen, Schiller, Blank & Jones, Jean Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream as some of his influences, although there is no doubt that De Antiquis Et Novis is creating a dimension of his own with his artistry.
Speaking on the release, De Antiquis Et Novis says, “I wanted to create a danceable summer track influences by techno and EDM music.” He adds with passion, “alchemy brings a lot of good electronic dance vibes to any house party!”
We have added alchemy to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the exquisite wider discography of De Antiquis Et Novis including Afterglow, Vallis Bouvard and Calm.
