Setting the tone with a textured drum riff followed by a cerebral frequency, before expanding with electric guitar and subversive bass tones to create an enigmatic, soft-rock soundscape, Ben Street opens Now’s the Time with intrigue and dimensionality.
The opus expands into an atmospheric energy, and we are hypnotized by Ben’s vocal timbre and charismatic delivery. Now’s the Time is Ben Street’s third single from his upcoming full length album, and two more have already followed!
We learn that Now’s the Time holds the theme of forced exile, which comes to life with the poetic nuance of Ben’s lyricism. We love the celestial detailing in the production, and the guitar solo is simply out of this world!
Ben confesses that Now’s the Time was inspired by “real times and stories”, having met refugees and immigrants in an English learning centre while living in Sweden. He says, “It’s also generally about those moments we all know when you got to just get up and go, that Now’s the Time.“
We love the depth that Ben shares with his artistry, and the impact of the message, in cohesive fusion with the bass synth sound of the opus, unforgettable guitar riffs and luscious harmonies.
Now’s the Time has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we await Ben Street‘s upcoming album and continue to stream his wider discography The Shape of My Trouble, Pitch for the Perfect Human, Deserted, and Weak Man Weak Heart.
