Setting the tone with luscious electric guitar, Peppermint Moon opens his single, Foxy Friends with the insightful and introspective lyrics, “Plastic people want their way, they’re selling us out, the urge to control the sway, fills us with doubt…”
The opus expands into an alternative meets classic rock hybrid, as Peppermint Moon, also known as artist Colin Schlitt, takes us on glitched journey about society and the human condition.
We appreciate the poetic nuance of his lyricism, and we learn that Peppermint Moon writes, performs, and produces every song by himself. As a member of other bands, Peppermint Moon has played some of the most historic venues on the West Coast and has been heard by millions through successful television sync placements. Colin also works as a teacher and plays bass and sings some of his songs in the band El Radio Fantastique.
Peppermint Moon‘s experience really comes through in the poetic nuance of his lyricism and the timeless sonic landscape that he creates. The rising artist from Point Reyes Station says, “Foxy Friends was written and recorded during a week-long quarantine after watching a Sex Pistols documentary and too much cable news!”
Fans of The Beatles will definitely be able to connect with Peppermint Moon‘s Foxy Friends, but it is clear that he is also creating a universe of his own.
We have added Foxy Friends to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Peppermint Moon‘s wider discography including Butter Can Burn, and He She They.
