Setting the tone with a detailed synth melody, SØUNDHOOSE open Loner with intrigue, dimensionality and atmospheric vocals with the lyrics, “I’m a loner, a lonely loner, I’m a loner, why does the world hate me?”
Exploding into a luscious emo-pop-rock soundscape, Loner takes us on an introspective journey about not quite fitting in, personal anxiety, mental health, our internal dialogues and the human condition.
SØUNDHOOSE is an alternative, pop-punk inspired rock band, known for “cranking out rebellious anthems that unapologetically declare their personal vendetta on mental warfare, breaking the stigma and ignorance around a topic that has been neglected but rages in us all.”
We appreciate the depth of the track and commentary on mental health, which is much needed in this day and age. The band is made up of Jeremy Bauer (bass), Paul Burns (drums), and lead singer, known as Mr. Bad Luck, Brandon Smith, andLoner is filled with authenticity and poetic nuance. We are grateful fo the band’s perspective which feels cathartic to both artist and listener.
Fans of Green Day, My Chemical Romance and Blink 182 will definitely be able to connect with SØUNDHOOSE, although there is no doubt that they are creating a frequency of their own.
We have added Loner to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we stream the wider discography of SØUNDHOOSE and await their album, Craniotomy, expected in 2023.
