We recently featured Eli Lev when he teamed up with Brendan Lane on the charming and empathic single, Grand Prize, so we were thrilled to hear that he just released a brand new single, I’m Ready in collaboration with My Silent Bravery.
Immersing us with luscious, strummed acoustic guitar and atmospheric vocals, Eli Lev and My Silent Bravery open their collaborative single with the situational and introspective lyrics, “This open road, it all I know, I’ve been wondering where it is I’m going…”
I’m Ready expands into a soft-rock meets contemporary folk hybrid soundscape, and we appreciate the poetic nuance in the lyricism, as well as the emotive depth of the journey that Eli Lev and My Silent Bravery take us on.
We learn that I’m Ready is co-written and co-performed by Eli Lev (Boonsboro, Maryland) and Matthew Wade of My Silent Bravery (Worcester, Massachusetts). The opus is inspired by Eli’s and Matt’s current life trajectories – dubbed a “lonesome hero-turned life companion tale”.
I’m Ready lends itself to a Bruce Springsteen meets Mumford and Sons vibe, but it is abundantly clear Eli Lev and My Silent Bravery are creating a universe of their own combining modern day production with a timeless brand of storytelling.
Matthew Wade of My Silent Bravery comments on the collaboration, “When Eli asked if I wanted to collaborate on a song, I loved the idea and said I’m Ready! The rest just organically fell into place as it’s been a pleasure working with him.”
Eli elaborates, “Matt has always been a huge inspiration of mine as a songwriter, singer, and community leader. Was an honor writing this song with him and it brought out something of my own songwriting that was new and exciting.”
We love the authenticity and energy of the composition, which is dynamic and immersive taking us on a rather heartfelt journey that we are grateful to have experienced. We have added Eli Lev and My Silent Bravery‘s I’m Ready to our New Music Spotlight, whilst we continue to stream the wider discographies of both Eli Lev and My Silent Bravery!
