Setting the tone with crowd noise and a ringing bell, before padded drums immerse us further, Sam Feinstein opens Chasing the Bull with intrigue and drama.
Husky vocals take us on a poetic journey with intricate lyricism, as Sam Feinstein delivers social commentary discussing the corruption of the fiscal system. We learn that Chasing the Bull was inspired by “the prominence of crypto and NFT scams since 2020, and the lack of consequences for those perpetrating these scams.”
The subject matter is of profound importance, and we appreciate the medium through which the rising artist from San Jose, California shares his message. During the opus, Sam Feinstein takes on the character of “a two-faced scam-artist trying to part unsuspecting victims from their hard-earned cash.”
With a comedic tone, he mocks the scam artists while pleading for listeners to ask themselves the question “Bull Market, or B.S.” before investing their hard-earned cash.
The message is powerful, and also brought to life by the single artwork which features a Bitcoin, a gold bull, the American flag, a Wall Street sign and three red lights with the word “scam”.
Instrumentation throughout the composition is dynamic and we particularly appreciate the brass! Fans of Tom Waits, Modest Mouse, and Tower of Power will definitely be able to connect with Sam Feinstein, although it is clear that the rising artist is creating a soundscape of his own!
We will be adding Sam Feinstein‘s debut, Chasing the Bull, to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we anticipate further releases from the artist!
