Setting the mood with rippling waves, and sounds of people enjoying a beach, with a percussive crescendo building into a deep house meets future house hybrid sonic landscape, Far-be opens his new single, On The Rocks, with a transportive energy.
On The Rocks expands with intricacy, dimensionality and melodic details, snares, immersive drums and cosmic nuance.
A melodic protagonist in the form of steel notes fuses with a psychedelic high synth to carry us further into the dynamic universe that Far-be has created. The opus strips back to reveal the original beat with melodic high keys and laser-like bass risers which give a more cerebral and astral energy to the composition.
Half way though, we are sent into space as if on a magic mushroom trip where glistening synths give us a transcendental feeling. The high melodies have us literally tripping out, as if from the sand to sky, and we are obsessed.
Our bodies are in synch with the intention of the artist, before a playful tropical melody from earlier on in the piece is re-ignited, only to fuse with the high synth psychedelic experience that we adore so much.
The track breaks down to is house core for the final segments of the opus as On The Rocks brings us back down to Earth with the sound of rippling waves once more, and we are grounded.
Far-be is a Dutch DIY electronic music producer from the Netherlands, and On The Rocks is his second release. Speaking on his expansive sound and the future, he says, “Although my main genre is House, I’m not bound by any subgenre, My next release could be Progressive House, Tech House, Techno, etc. I’ll just see where the music takes me…”
We appreciate the depth, design and intricacy of the composition, and have added On The Rocks to our New Music Spotlight playlist. whilst we also stream Far-be‘s debut single, Yellow!
