Establishing the mood with cerebral and industrial guitar textures, before we experience a dynamic alternative rock soundscape, we are already obsessed with Pistols at Dawn‘s new single, The Truth.
The single expands with the vulnerable and situational lyrics, “Every morning I wake up, I’m fading away from the light, sometimes it’s hard but believe me, I’m here for the ride…”, as Pistols at Dawn convey an emotive story touching on themes of the human condition, the challenges of life and an honest connection with oneself and those around us.
We appreciate the soundscape and the depth of the message. The Atlanta quintet features Adam Jaffe on drums, Devin White on guitar, Billy Sullivan on bass, Tommy Richardson on guitar and Cris Hodges on vocals.
Speaking on their creations, Adam says, “All of our influences come out in the music, but with our own stamp. There’s definitely a hard rock vibe combined with progressive lyrics. When you add these elements together, it beautifully combusts in Pistols at Dawn.”
He adds with passion, “We want to take you on a ride. We just love playing music. One moment, we hope you’re inspired to take on the world. In the next, we hope you scream along. In another, you just chill. It’s meant to be fun and exciting overall. At the end, we hope you want to take the ride again and again.” It’s safe to say we do!
The single comes with a cinematic, VFX-laden music video that is out of the world and features epic performances from the band. The visual is directed by Michael Mueller, M3 Creative with VFX by Robert Paraguassu.
We have added The Truth to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Pistols at Dawn including Fly.
