Setting the tone with an echoing add lib, Zadar opens his single, Julie, with bold and vibrant electric guitar, which expands with further vocal details and luscious, intricate drums into an alternative rock soundscape.
The opus evolves with the romantic and empowering lyrics, “When at look at you I feel alive, there’s nothing in the world that I can’t do, when at look at you, I’m in paradise…”, to deliver a moody yet emotive ode to love.
We learn that Zadar is a solo project by Antonio G from Philadelphia, who writes dark guitar-based music. He performs vocals, guitar, bass and delivers drum production on the composition.

Speaking on the release of Julie, Zadar says, “[It was] originally written for someone I was once very fond of.” The piece is mixed by James Sinclair-Stott with artwork by Mirko Dellamonic.
We appreciate the soundscape, depth and authenticity that Zadar shares with his art, and the the vulnerability that comes with sharing a message like, Julie. The echoes, and vocal production are unique and hypnotizing and we love the dimensionality of the sonic landscape.
Julie has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we stream Zadar‘s wider discography including Crimson Pain and The Upstairs Room.
