We recently featured Izoki for his powerful vegan activism on the conscious and entertaining, I eat plants, so we were thrilled to hear that he had just released the brand new, One night in Miami!
Establishing the mood with luscious synth notes and city textures, before the song expands into an enigmatic and immersive sonic landscape, Izoki opens his latest single with the situational lyrics, “One night, two nights in Miami, mami, just wanna hear you call me papi…”
Izoki’s delivery is atmospheric and charming, whilst the opus expands into an ambient reggaeton hybrid energy featuring lyrics in both English and Spanish, showcasing not only a versatile delivery from the rising artist, but dimensionality and linguistic prowess.
The Chicago-based creator cites Dakiti by Bad Bunny and Jhay Cortez as a reference, although it is clear that Izoki is creating a universe of his own. He says, “This is a perfect song that can and will definitely be played in the beaches of Miami. A perfect song to play on a night drive in the city with the windows down with only the intention to feel the music. This song will naturally gravitate fans of reggaeton and dancehall.”
Izoki is a 20 year old artist, producer and plant enthusiast from Chicago, who is on the rise. Making a name for himself as a young prodigy creating a diversified catalogue of instrumentals and entertaining the people of the internet with his alter ego “Plant boy”.
His production and work ethic at only the age of 20 has amassed him over 7 thousand YouTube subscribers and has gotten him noticed by celebrity barber VicBlends, his beat was used in the famous barber’s reel with over 1 million views. The instrumental break downs in One night in Miami are out of this world, and we are obsessed.
We love Izoki‘s passion and authenticity and certainly appreciate the vegan activism within his artistry. We have added One night in Miami to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream his wider discography!
