We recently featured Xavier Bernazard for his introspective and self-aware single, Enemy, so we were thrilled to hear that he had just released the brand new, Restart!
Establishing the mood with vibrant, layered keys and guitars, Xavier Bernazard opens Restart with the lyrics, “Wish I could laugh like a kid again…”
As Xavier reminisces about the simpler times, Restart delivers a profound and relatable message about “the difficulty of life and the yearning to start over”. Bold electric guitars give us an anthemic vibe, and add dimensionality to the track as Xavier takes us on an emotive and sometimes theatrical pop-punk journey.
The rising artist from Dallas tells us, “The song is an alt-rock track that expresses the difficulty of life and the yearning to start over. It acknowledges friends and family that have been lost over the years and wanting to go back to simpler times.”
We appreciate the lyrical depth that Xavier Bernazard shares with Restart and his artistry. The vulnerability and authenticity that makes him unique and relatable.
Taking influence from Evanescence, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco, Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Yungblud and With Confidence, we can feel the similarities in energy and soundscape, although it is clear that Xavier is creating a universe of his own.
Restart was recorded in May in Nashville, Tennessee. Nathan McCord mixed and produced the opus and it features Alex Hodge and Fox DeVaughn on bass and guitar respectively.
We have added Restart to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue streaming Xavier Bernazard‘s wider discography including Tenebris and Don’t Runaway!
