Love Ghost release empowering and cathartic new single, Pulp

Establishing the mood with a subversive and bass-driven soundscape, Love Ghost open Pulp with the situational lyrics, “I can take it back to the place where we both lost our minds, where we went blind…

Pulp expands into a dimensional grunge meets alternative rock soundscape, telling the story of “an addict’s relationship with God”. We learn that the song is inspired by Charles Bukowski and his novel Pulp. The band tell us that it is “a reminder that we all struggle to find peace within ourselves.”

Love Ghost consists of Finnegan Bell on guitar and vocals, Ryan Stevens on bass and vocals, Daniel Gallardo on drums and background vocals, Cory Batchler on keyboards and vocals, and Daniel Alcala guitar and background vocals. All in all, creating a rich tapestry that we cannot get enough of!

We are in awe of the authenticity and bold energy that Love Ghost share with their artistry, not to mention how the band uses their own trauma and struggles with depression, loneliness, drugs and alcohol addiction to create catharsis for themselves and the listener.

Pulp follows a string of releases from the band, and it is no surprise that they have received acclaim from Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, FLAUNT, Alternative Press and more. The single also comes with a cinematic music video which perfectly encapsulates the concept of the composition.

Love Ghost will continue to push out new music in 2022. “The new music that’s coming from Love Ghost is just our storytelling of the things happening in our lives at the moment,” says band frontman Finnegan Bell. “These songs, to me, are really all threaded together by time. We are in an insane period of history, and therefore we are writing some insane music.”

We have added Pulp to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Love Ghost‘s wider discography including Closure and Wolfsbane.
