Setting the tone with an epic and textured riser, Tyler Brooker opens his new single Forever with the introspective and vulnerable lyrics, “I’m back in the dark, trying to escape, you gave me a chance but was it too late? The life I live, hanging by a thread, all alone again, what shall I do instead?”
Forever expands into a luscious and immersive EDM-House meets Dance-Pop hybrid soundscape, and we are obsessed. We learn that the song is a complete redesign of Tyler Brooker‘s original track from 2020.
Tyler confesses, “It has much more personal, melancholic and powerful ties in the lyrics. This track is a slap house track that slaps hard!”
Citing artists including Black Winter and Steve Void as some of his inspirations, we can feel that energy come through in Forever, although it is clear that Tyler Brooker is creating a sonic universe of his own.
We love the celestial lyrics, “I know there’s a place in the stars for us together…” and the hook “we can live forever…”. The way the track drops us equally out of this world and we are hypnotized by the intricacy and depth of the production, as well as the atmospheric yet crisp vocals.
It is no surprise that Tyler Brooker has already played at Eddyfest and Bardfest in the United Kingdom, and has appeared live on BBC Radio Essex and Suffolk!
