Establishing the mood with vibrant electric guitar, dimensional bass and drums, we are already hypnotized by Kyote Radio‘s new single The Crown.
The Crown expands with an out of this world guitar solo from Austin’s “shredder king”, Kyle Shutt (The Sword, Doom Side of the Moon) and we are obsessed!
In line with the epic soundscape, we are enamoured by the depth of the lyricism from Kyote Radio, as they open The Crown with the situational “Riding through the remnants of the ruins of decay, overflowing oceans slowly carve it all away…”
Additional lyrical highlights include the introspective, “Behind the waterfall he wonders if he’ll ever wear the crown. Who wears it now? Who wears it now? Who wears it now?”, and the existential “Pale white marble pillars, the writing on the wall, crumble to the Earth, he watches each monument fall…“
We appreciate the post-apocalyptic narrative that Kyote Radio share with their artistry and the epic the presence of Kyle Shutt. The Crown was produced in Austin by local studio wizard Frenchie Smith at The Bubble Studios, and features an out of this world cover artwork by Steven Yoyada.
The Crown has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we stream the wider discography of Kyote Radio, including their album Real Crime!
