Setting the tone with industrial drums and a synthetic bass line, we are mesmerized by Children of Zeal‘s new single Moonlit Lullaby.
Opening with the conceptual yet situational lyrics, “I see your face, in the ocean waves, falling down from, the strangest place…”, Moonlit Lullaby builds into a dark electronic pop soundscape filled with nuance and intricacy.
We love the depth of the high concept lyricism from Children of Zeal, touching upon concepts of the human condition, emotions and philosophical thoughts. We are obsessed with the vocal production which has epic glitches and dynamic energy.
Children of Zeal is an indie-electronic group based in Asheville, NC formed by childhood friends Jetson Black and Lance Moorhead. Evolving from their love of SNES RPG sound tracks into a unique blend of electronic music with psychedelic and industrial vibes, their music can be described as a mysterious signal in a forgotten land.
Children of Zeal‘s first release, Out The Window was met with great success in the playlist community. Moonlit Lullaby serves as the precursor to their full-length LP, Manipulation, coming this Fall.
We love the frequency and intelligent soundscape that Children of Zeal are sharing with their artistry and have added Moonlit Lullaby to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we also stream Out The Window!
