Establishing the mood with a ska trumpet riff, intricate keys and plucked electric guitar detailing with vocal add libs, Dread Daze open their new single Feelin Fine with the lyrics, “Say don’t you feel nice when you’re just awake, you better thank God for your goodness sakes…”
Feelin Fine is produced by Manu Genius of Not Easy At All Prod, with lyrics by Najashi of Dread Daze and mixed and mastered by Steve E Ross of Exclusive Recordings. The band itself features Najashi on lead vocals, Belfast Brian on additional vocals and rhythm guitar, Loren Lopez on bass, Jamie Lasalle on drums, German Toledo delivering keyboard magic and Dj Thergood on percussion and sounds!
The song takes us on a groovy and anthemic reggae journey with a feel good vibe and message. Speaking on the intention of the song, Dread Daze tell us, “In these times that we are living in worldwide, Feelin Fine is meant to uplift.”
We definitely feel that energy being harnessed by the track, and love the energy that Dread Daze is sharing with this positive flow and conscious lyricism.
Feelin Fine also comes with a music video with cinematic moments in line with the lyrical descriptor, and also features an epic performance from Najashi of Dread Daze, who showcases his passion throughout the visual.
It is no surprise that Najashi has performed at many festivals and opened up for all the major reggae cats, as well as other genres! Their stage shows are energetic and vibrant and we can’t wait to see more from the legend Najashi himself!
We have added Feelin Fine to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we stream Dread Daze‘s wider discography including the album, Dance, Dub, Reggae, Remixes!
