Setting the tone with panning and vibrant synthetic frequencies, Sicily Jordan opens her new single, You Got Me, with atmospheric vocals and the situational lyrics, “Wait a minute cos I think I remember this, something familiar, I think I have been here before…”
You Got Me expands into a vibrant and anthemic pop soundscape as Sicily Jordan delivers an epic love song full of passion and prowess as she sings, “You Got Me going in circles, orbiting the galaxy…”
We love the celestial lyricism and vocal harmonies, coupled with a fierce a bold production. Sicily Jordan passion is tangible and it is clear that the source of her inspiration is authentic. Her delivery is simply out of this world, in line with the concept of the song!
Speaking on the writing process, Sicily confesses, “I wrote You Got Me in a blast of inspiration that started with the first line of the chorus running over in my head. All in all, I think the whole song was written in a couple hours.”
The rising artist from Orinda elaborates, “It originally wasn’t planned for my debut EP, but when industry legend Barry Fasman heard it, he knew immediately he wanted to produce it as the single of the album. Fast-forward to now, and we have a GIANT pop-dance track with melody, lyric, and beat hooks layered all throughout.”
Sicily continues “Our goal was to create a track that felt futuristic and retro, new and familiar all at once.”
The epic single has a video planned for later this Summer, and it is clear that Sicily Jordan is destined for greatness, as You Got Me is simply pop perfection. She has already been recognised for her talented by music industry legends like award-winning producers Barry Fasman and Dana Walden.
We have added You Got Me to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we await Sicily’s EP, Between Us, due later this year!
