Establishing the mood with bold drums, dimensional bass and vibrant electric guitar riffs fused into immersive synths, Vince Chinaski opens his new single Unconditional Love with atmosphere, intrigue, and the lyrics, “Somebody tell me what is going down…”
Unconditional Love expands into a retro-pop meets alternative rock, slow-funk soundscape with intricate instrumentation and recounts a story of rebound, acceptance and forgiveness.
Vince Chinaski is a one-man-band project, performing a multitude of instruments and delivers thought provoking lyricism inspired by existential themes and the human condition, filtered through the Copenhagen-based artist’s personal experience and “tragicomic vision of the world”.
Born and raised in Rome, now settled in Copenhagen, Vince spent several years in Berlin where established his artistry by recording, producing and touring extensively across Europe with The Innits (Sunday Service Records), The Man No. 9 (Haute Areal Records), the Zürich-based Division Kent (Sony BMG).
Speaking on the message of Unconditional Love, Vince says, “I lived across three countries for a long time, juggling multiple languages and cultures and riding on a wild long-distance relationship.”
He continues, “I was bewildered most of the time, constantly going to and coming back to a place I didn’t fully belong to. I often felt misplaced and detached, always having to catch up with something. In that period I learnt a lot about my strengths and shortcomings. Eventually I embraced the situation and eased up on trying to do the right thing all the time, essentially becoming a better man by giving up on being flawless, even if that seemed a contradiction. I think that’s the core of what the song is about: accepting your own failings and being the best self you can be.”
We love his empowering message and the luscious nature of the composition which has us truly hypnotized. We have added Unconditional Love to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we explore Vince Chinaski‘s wider discography including She Comes in Colours and Never Painted Black.
