Establishing the mood with an immersive synthscape and vocals singing, “I’m staring off into space, drawing in all the memories we had together…”, Salt House Lavish open their new single, Staring off into space with intrigue and dimensionality.
The song expands with layered vocals fused into an enigmatic soundscape, as the song touches upon themes of the human condition, whilst a glistening bell and industrial synths start to appear with percussive detailing.
Speaking on the opus, Salt House Lavish tell us that Staring off into space is “not your classic pop song”. The single is taken from the album take a deep breath people, which is inspiring in its name alone.
Salt House Lavish is the artistic moniker of multi-disciplinary artist Andrew Laverick who play guitar, bass, keyboards and piano. He also produces and engineers all his own music. Andrew cites vast influences including Radiohead, Zappa, Hendrix and Debussy, although it is clear that he is creating a universe of his own.
