We recently featured Jordan Jones when he craved an honest connection on his single, Stumble, so we were thrilled to hear that the rising artist from Edmonton had just released the brand new, Flawless.
Establishing the mood with an enigmatic riser, Jordan Jones opens Flawless with the situational lyrics, “Slow down, I put this record on replay, got this 45″ playing in my head…”, the song expands to deliver a timeless pop frequency as our protagonist captures what his ideal Sunday vibe is.
With a refined baseline, intricate high hats and an immersive melody, we are already hypnotized by Flawless. Speaking on the meaning of the track and his ideal Sunday routine, Jordan says, “Something I like to do is sleep in and spend the day in bed being in the moment with my person with my favourite song on repeat.”
He continues with passion, “I wanted this one to feel light, fun and sexy. Something a lot of us forget, myself included, is how to be in the moment. With Flawless, I wanted to make sure this track felt in the moment without the weight of the world holding it down. Sunday vibes only!”
We love the unfiltered and charming way that Jordan Jones communicates with his sound, and the romantic nature of his lyricism as he sings, “All I want is you…” and “don’t rush me girl, let’s stay in bed”.
Giving us poetic nuance with lyrics like “you’re spinning on me like a ballet”, we couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday morning!
Jordan cites influences including Halsey, Justin Bieber, 6LACK, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Pink Sweats, Khalid, The Weeknd, SAFE, Omah Lay and JAHKOY, although it is clear that he is creating universe of his own.
We have added Flawless to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Jordan Jones‘ first two singles, Stumble and Break My Heart.
