We recently wrote about Glass Lord for his collaboration with Ed.1t on the intricate dance cover of Say My Name, so we were thrilled to have the chance to review his brand new single, Santorini.
Setting the tone with a tropical house frequency with enigmatic and pitched yet refined vocals, Santorini is a vibrant composition about “escaping everyday life and sailing to a beautiful island full of incredible parties and amazing culture”.
Glass Lord adds, “It’s a song of enjoying life and making the most of every second.” We love the wisdom that he is sharing, and cannot relate more to wanting to be on a tropical island right now, so we are grateful to Glass Lord for transporting us there by sound!
The production is intricate and dynamic, with cerebral nuances and a soundscape that is perfect for catching a soulful yet futuristic vibe.
Glass Lord is a unique artist based in the beating heart of Los Angeles, delivering a fine weave of dance-pop sounds that shine with undeniable potential. Growing up in Switzerland and France, Glass Lord’s sound was heavily influenced by the European scene, layering vibrant EDM sounds with stellar pop inspiration.
After moving to the US and being exposed to the more rampant hip-hop and R&B scene, Glass Lord evolved his sound, creating a unique hybrid between the two styles.
We have added Santorini to our New Music Spotlight playlist and continue streaming Glass Lord‘s wider discography!
