We recently featured Alexander Joseph for his empowering single, Firefly, so we were thrilled to have the chance to review the release of the Acoustic Version of, Summertime Compass.
Setting the tone with intricately layered acoustic guitars, Alexander Joseph opens Summertime Compass with the introspective lyrics, “There’s only one way I’m going, but could you show me how? I’m floating when the wind’s blowing to a new place now…”
Speaking on Summertime Compass, Alexander says, “It’s one of the first songs I wrote during my university days over fifteen years ago, and this version maintains the relaxed and playful vibe that was originally captured by the band I was part of at the time.”
He continues, “The song delivers an optimistic message about the possibilities that lie ahead.” The composition could fit perfectly in a TV show or movie and we hope that Alexander manifests the synch deals that he deserves.
We love Alexander Joseph‘s authenticity, timeless energy and the wisdom that he shares, and have added Summertime Compass to our New Music Spotlight, whilst we stream his wider discography including Firefly and Invincible.
