Setting the tone with cosmic frequencies, distant and cerebral vocal detailing, before a robust and hypnotizing bass line kicks in, Weird Skyence open their latest single Yellow Tape with situational add libs that lead into a fierce and robust rap delivery.
The rising duo from Toledo cite Outkast, Parliament Funkadelic, Kendrick Lamar and DJ Quik as influences, although it is clear that they are creating a universe of their own with conscious references, made for the present shift that our planet is experiencing.
Yellow Tape displays the pair’s evolution over the course of the last four years. Weird Skyence is made up of Jozay SpaceKawboy (Jose SpaceCowboy) who is a producer and emcee, and Chrispi The Infallible who delivers vocals and skills as an emcee.
Both creators have exquisite flow, out of this world vocal production, all in all giving us a high end piece of artistry that references everything chakras, Usain Bolt, Frankenstein and more.
We have added Yellow Tape to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we keep streaming the pair’s wider discography.
