We recently featured feeble for their enigmatic and atmospheric one-sided love story, I Am Here, so we were thrilled to hear that the Swedish indie pop outfit had just released their brand new single, For You.
Setting the tone with a metallic rising frequency and celestial details before expanding with immersive drums and strings, we are already hypnotised by For You. Delivering atmospheric vocals, artist Stefan Ekenberg showcases his emotion and range, whilst sharing a love song where he is willing to do anything for the one he loves.
Elaborating on the detail of the lyricism, Stefan says, “It is also about not bothering about problems before they appear. However when they do, you are willing to face whatever it is you are facing for love. The song was written during Spring 2022 and is highly inspired by the work of Ethan Gruska.”
Ethan Gruska is a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who is well known for his work with Phoebe Bridgers, performing across and co-producing both Stranger in the Alps and Punisher.
We love the passion and authenticity that Stefan, who is based in Kallered outside Gothenburg in Sweden, creates with and the relatability of the message of For You, cohesively constructed with psychedelic nuances in the production to further dimensionalize the composition.
Stefan has played in several bands, mostly guitars and drums, but also vocals. feeble was born during the 1990s and started as a trip hop-project. Between 2010 and 2020 feeble disappeared from the scene, but was reborned in 2020 as an acoustic project producing three singles Heartland, A Few Minutes More and What If.
We have added For You to our New Music Spotlight playlist and continue streaming feeble‘s wider discography including I Am Here.
