Setting the tone with mysterious and enigmatic ascending synth notes, GRENADAZSON opens his latest single Pin Point with the lyrics, “Getting to the money that’s they checkpoint yeah…”
As Pin Point expands, we experience a luxurious soundscape trap meets hip-hop hybrid soundscape with pitched vocals as the song touches upon themes of love, the human condition, success and abundance.
Speaking on his art, GRENADAZSON says, “I manifested my thoughts and dreams and finally started making music which has been a passion of mine that has burned endlessly for years and just wouldn’t extinguish.”
He continues, “Pin Point is a smash posse cut I recorded with my brothers in 2021 that encapsulates our unique and diverse talents that always blends when we collaborate on a track.”
We love his flow, intricacy of the production and the depth of GRENADAZSON‘s artistry, not to mention the epic presence of Apollo Quest, D-Nasty TheMasta and DeroSZN on the track!
GRENADAZSON was born on the island of Grenada in the West Indies, and his moniker includes a reference to the iconic Nas. The rising artist confesses, “After moving to NYC I couldn’t help but to fall in love with Hip Hop music and culture. The biggest influences on me hands down that impacted me through the power of their music are 2Pac, 50 Cent, Eminem, Lil Wayne, and Drake!”
We note these inspirations and can hear it in GRENADAZSON‘s artistry, but it is clear that he is also forging his own path. Elaborating on his influences, he says, “There are many more artists in Hip Hop that left an impression on me like Biggie, Nas, Ludacris, Bun B, Jay-Z, Fabolous, Jadakiss, DMX etc…. But those named prior by far had the deepest impact on me. I gravitated to artists like 2Pac, DMX, and Eminem because of the emotion and passion they rapped with which bled through the mic and hit to the core of my being and experiences.”
We love the passion that GRENADAZSON creates with and have added Pin Point to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and continue to stream his existing releases!
