Cartier Grim releases high octane and affectionate new single, Made in Heaven

Setting the tone with an 8-bit synth energy, we are already hypnotized by the playful soundscape of Cartier Grim‘s single, Made in Heaven. Opening with the romantic lyrics, “I’mma speed it up like Made in Heaven, I would reset the world just to ask you one question…”, we are already hypnotized by Cartier Grim‘s charm.

The song expands to deliver a romantic set of gestures from the rising artist as he professes his affection for his muse. On the chorus Cartier Grim delivers the hook, “Said I would reset the world for ya, I would get all them pearls for ya, I would give up all them girls for ya…”

Full of intention and speaking on his originality, Cartier Grim says, “This is a song I released for my 20th birthday on April 18th. I would describe it as a video game-inspired alternative hip hop song. I would also describe it as pop hip hop. I think it is very different than what a lot of artists around my age and who are underground and trying to come up, like me, are making.”

Cartier Grim, who is based in LA, cites Future, Kanye West, Chris Brown, Drake and Justin Bieber as his influences, which we can hear come through on Made in Heaven, although it is clear that he is creating his own soundscape.

We love his flow, atmospheric vocals and intricate delivery, and have added Made in Heaven to our New Music Spotlight playlist. Meanwhile we continue streaming Cartier Grim‘s wider discography including Mona Lisa and Time is Ticking.
