Setting the tone with the energy of a mantra-esque incantation, Chalice Collective open their debut single, Flame of Truth with the words, “Fire, fire burning bright, we live our love, we shine our light, we believe in hot, untamed and free, embodied divinity….”
Fused with a meditative frequency, cosmic details, bold and textured drums and a celestial riser, we are hypnotized by Flame of Truth‘s soundscape.
The song expands to deliver a message of connection with source / Goddess energy, as Chalice Collective sings “We’re powerful, complete and whole, sexy, fleshy cosmic souls…” who have come to planet Earth to awaken and inspire.
Flame of Truth comes with a cinematic art film and extended edit of the song, coming in at an angelic 11 minutes 11 seconds, which is dubbed “a mystical multimedia experience weaving ritualistic elements of song, symbol, spoken word, storytelling, sonic alchemy and fiery embodiment.”
Filmed in Portland, the visual comes forward with an inspired message of love, truth and empowerment. It features incredible costumes, camera work, flame throwing, symbolic artistry and an epic cast. It is truly a transcendental visual to experience and one of those examples where allowing an artist to express themselves with authentic cultural appreciation is better than censorship, or an artist not having the chance to create in support of peace because of cancel culture due to cultural appropriation.
Chalice Collective is fronted by multi-disciplinary artist Sedona Swan Soulfire who writes, dances, choreographs, directs and shares spoken word and prayer-formance poetry.
She is deeply inspired by Yoga, Bellydance and Classical Indian Dance due to their rich cultural essence, supreme beauty, empowered embodied expression and encoded spiritual wisdom. We think it is great that she was spiritually awakened by an Indian woman at the start of the film. We also love that it was released on Friday 13, the day of the divine feminine.
Sedona has studied with incredible teachers and lineage carriers throughout the many years, including Rehka Tandon, Aida Nour, Colleena Shakti, Suhaila Salimpour, Ra Lalita Dasi, Prajwal Vajracharya, Swami Ramananda and Swami Satchidananda.
Speaking on her artistry, she says, “Primarily, I work with the feminine. I believe the world is desperately in need of the medicine of the awakened, embodied, fully expressed feminine. Much of my work is centered around the celebration of feminine strength and power. I hope that my artistic offerings can inspire women and all people in activating a deeper sense of self-love and self-empowerment.”
We are here to support anyone that demonstrates an authentic connection to manifesting peace on Earth and within themselves, and have added Flame of Truth by Chalice Collective to our New Music Spotlight playlist.
