We recently featured Norwegian indietronica duo, Temperature Falls for their hypnotizing single, Reach, so we were thrilled to hear that they had just released their latest opus, Lab Rat.
Immersing us with a dynamic and glistening synthscape with intricate percussion and dimensional, metallic textures, we are already mesmerized by Lab Rat.
Cerebral vocal samples swirl around our heads before vocalist Camilla sings, “You come in, the cold makes me shiver, you trigger it, but I’m no intruder, gasping through the air, he’ll be back, nowhere to escape, I’m a bright eyed Lab Rat…”
Bolder drums emerge as the song expands delivering a cinematic and psychedelic, trip-hop hybrid soundscape that shows the epic skillset of the duo, consisting of vocalist and lyricist Camilla and multi-instrumentalist Ian J. Ward.
Initially meeting at a party, Ian and Camilla started in the studio a few weeks later. They instantly made a musical connection, which has led them to their creative output as Temperature Falls!
Experimental music lovers will really connect with Temperature Falls, as they deliver innovative genre bending and refined artistry. We are obsessed with their high concept artistry and epic visuals and have added Lab Rat to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and continue to stream their wider discography including Hide and Apology.
