We recently wrote about Jacqueline Loor for her powerful and assertive single, Nada Mas, so we were thrilled to hear that the rising artist from Florida had just released her latest song, Malos.
Setting the tone with enigmatic Spanish guitar, an immersive synth and a robust bass line that is becoming signature to Jacqueline‘s identifiable sound, we are already hypnotized. Malos opens with the assertive lyrics, “Tu no me puedes engañar…” which means, “you can’t fool me…”
The song expands to deliver a message on why women should stop wasting time on the wrong guys with intricate production, and an exquisite and emotive delivery from Jacqueline.
We love the sultry and sensual way that Jacqueline expresses herself, her delivery is out of this world. Some lyrical highlights include the message of the song, “Son malos, tan malos, estos hombres descarados, oye que digo, mujeres tengan cuidado…” which means, “they’re bad, so bad, these cheeky men, listen to me, women be careful…”
Speaking on the inspirations of the track, Jacqueline says, “we wanted to write something fun, something people can dance to and feel empowered by. We got some inspiration from Becky G and Karol G!”, although it is clear that Jacqueline is creating a conscious Latin pop vibe of her own!
We have added Malos to our New Music Spotlight playlist and continue streaming Jacqueline Loor‘s wider discography including Nada Mas and La Dura.
