Earth to Eve asserts her boundaries on cinematic and subversive new single, Everyone Says

Setting the vibe with textured keys and emotive strings, Earth to Eve opens her latest song, Everyone Says with the introspective and anecdotal lyrics, “They say hydration is key to a positive mentality, half a gallon a day is what you need, but nothing’s changed I just need to pee…”

The song expands with pulsing drums and percussion details as Earth to Eve takes us on a cerebral journey of self awareness in a world where “Everyone Says they know what’s best for me…”

She goes through the holistic details that might not have worked for her, making a commentary that healing is really an internal issue and cannot be manifested purely by a singular cure.

“I’m fine just doing me…” sings Earth to Eve as she closes off the song and sets her boundaries with the people around her. Speaking on the creation of the track, Earth to Eve says, “I wrote this song on my bedroom floor when I first moved to Los Angeles three years ago.”

“It’s about all the ridiculous pieces of advice people have given me about my depression. It’s a lighthearted and chill song about self-reliance and self-love; I don’t need anyone to tell me how to live my life, I’m fine just doing me”, continues the rising artist.

Earth to Eve is an indie pop artist from New York City, currently based in Los Angeles. She is the creative director, director and producer of all accompanying visuals and music videos. As someone who struggles with Bipolar Disorder, her lyricism is brutally honest and authentic and encapsulates her experiences with mental health and substance abuse. She equates her songs to that of reading her diary, and hopes that listeners can find solidarity and solace in her words.

We support her intention and acknowledge that it is truly oneself who knows best when it comes to authentic inner work. We have added Everyone Says to our New Music Spotlight playlist and have been exploring the wider discography of Earth to Eve including Clockwork Eyes, Club Kids and SHIT.
