Setting the tone with an enigmatic guitar strum, Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends opens his new single, By Your Bed with the existential lyrics, “I can’t believe it’s time to die…”
The song expands with a synth and percussive details, fused with intricate guitar work and emotive lyricism to deliver “a testimony of deep sorrow or, more precisely, a song about sitting by a beloved person’s death bed.”
Speaking on the intention of the track, Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends says, “I wanted the lyrics to be as straightforward as possible here, or even simplistic.”
The song reminds us of The Beatles, Queen and Elton John but it is also clear that Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends is creating a universe of his own.
The emotive song is co-produced by David Myhr, who also provides backing vocals in style of the Abbey Road-album and a heartbreaking slide guitar, whilst Andreas Quincy Dahlbäck features on drums.
We relate to Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends‘ sadness and existential approach to the creation of the song, and we love how it becomes more passionate as it evolves, with a a key change and atmospheric detailing to elevate emotion.
