We recently wrote about Juliander when he previewed his upcoming album with two enigmatic and profound singles, Who Am I Without You, and If I Can’t Have You, so we were thrilled to hear his latest release, Cold Shoulder.
Taking on a vibrant 80s energy, with a rising synth and bright keys, Juliander opens Cold Shoulder with the lyrics, “Hit me like a heart attack, run it back, girl I want to do it again…”
The song expands to deliver an emotive narrative, referencing the human condition, taking risks and unrequited love. We love Juliander‘s energy and the intricate detail within Cold Shoulder.
Speaking on the creation of the track, Juliander says, “Usually my creative process takes a while to get finished but what’s really exciting about this song is that it feels like it was made yesterday. Cold Shoulder came to life during my first session with the amazing producer Pretty Young and the incredibly talented writer Isak Hallén.”
“The song actually happened by accident. We were trying to write the chorus for another song but somehow we came up with the verse to Cold Shoulder so we scrapped that idea and finished everything in 20 minutes. Cold Shoulder is the best accident I’ve ever made”, continues the rising artist from Stockholm.
This marks Juliander‘s third release this year, and we can look forward to more emotive masterpieces from the rising star. Cold Shoulder has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist and we continue to stream Who Am I Without You, and If I Can’t Have You!
