Setting the tone with intricate acoustic guitar, Joe Sneva opens his latest song, 100 Wildflowers with intimate lyrics as he sings with love energy “What do you say we take a drive down the highway and we don’t have to go mine, we can do your way…”
The song goes on to expand to include descriptive fantasies, as Joe sings the hook “I don’t wanna buy you a dozen roses red, I’d rather pick 100 Wildflowers instead…”
We love the way in which Joe communicates his authentic feelings of love, fused with his raw and rugged, folk tinged alt rock frequency and poetic lyricism.
From Conway, Washington, north of Seattle, Joe is a “free spirit and lover of simpler times”. He cites Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, The Beach Boys, The Strokes, David Bowie, Lou Reed, 2Pac, Pearl Jam, Willie Nelson, Tribe Called Quest, & Otis Redding, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews Band, Wilco, Band of Horses, Ed Sheeran and John Mayer as influences, but it is also clear that Joe is carving a path of his own.
The rising artist, who is also a published author, has released his first novel called “Another Day in Paradise”, which is loosely based on his years spent in Los Angeles.
We have added 100 Wildflowers to our New Music Spotlight playlist and have been immersing ourselves in Joe Sneva‘s wider discography including his three albums!
