By now, you will have seen that we are obsessed with rising U.K. artist Frank Bramble, as we recently featured his songs Fall to Flames and Spaced Out.
Today, Frank Bramble releases Serotonin which opens with a rising psychedelic synth and textured nature sounds, before Frank sings atmospherically, “I’m using your Serotonin…”. We are met with an immersive and dimensional bass and experience additional vocals from AmberClxre who sings in harmony with our protagonist.
The song expands to tell the story of a couple discussing their relationship, using the metaphor of planet Earth to be indicative of how they’re treating each other.
The opening line in the first verse “We’re poisoning the water source, damaging our life support…” has a double meaning, because we are literally doing that to the planet, but it reflects the idea of creating a toxic environment in a relationship.
Frank sings emotively, “Tell me can we fix it, can we turn our world around?” with reference to his muse and our planet.
The song explodes into an epic drum and bass frequency, which fuses cohesively with Frank’s signature indie-hop vibe that he has been developing with his latest releases. The result is a high octane, high concept and thought-provoking journey.
As the pair sing “I wanna be, in a world so beautiful and clean…”, we are moved by the intention and the sentiment, generating a feeling of optimism for the protagonists of the song, and our planet and collective.
Releasing the song close to Earth Day really demonstrates how high calibre Frank Bramble’s creative intentions are, and we cannot wait for further expansion from the rising artist.
Meanwhile, we have added Serotonin to our New Music Spotlight playlist and are always listening to Frank Bramble‘s wider discography!
