Larri Jae releases sensual and vulnerable new EP, Chapter 30

With guitar licks and vocal textures to set the tone, Larri Jae delivers emotive riffs and the intimate opening lyrics, “I only use the alphabet, when my tongue is down your river bed…”, as he commences the first song from his new EP, Chapter 30.

Alphabet Head (Wet Enough) is a seductive song about performing cunnilingus using one’s tongue to write the letters A through` Z. A unique concept for a song which expands to take us in a sensual journey with equally sensual production.

Baby are you wet enough, thinking of love…” sings the rising artist from Chicago who cites Chris Brown, Sammie, Usher, Omarion and T-Pain as influences, although it is clear that Larri Jae is creating a universe of his own.

Next up is Tell Me Who? which gives us a more uptempo pop-R&B energy, as Larri Jae sings about intimacy, loss, lack of communication and the human condition.

Speaking on the track, Larri Jae says, “Tell Me Who? reminds us that no matter how hard you love, some people just won’t appreciate you.”

Chapter 30 has singles produced by Grammy-Award winning producer Xcel and acclaimed producers PDub The Producer, & N-Soul who have all produced for artists like Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, Twista, John Legend, Da Baby, Tink, Tory Lanez & No Name.

Sad Inc., which stands for “Survived Another Day In Chicago”, is the final track on the EP and opens with a moodier celestial tone exploding into a trap beat, as Larri Jae sings about the darker side of his reality as a juxtaposition to the more sexual and romantic songs that preceded this. He says the song takes the form of his alter ego who spirals out of control due to a hurtful heartbreak coupled with the struggles of being an undiscovered music artist.

We love the high concept direction that Larri Jae is taking. We have added Sad Inc. to our New Music Spotlight playlist and have been exploring Larri Jae’w wider discography including Tryna Do That.
