Setting the tone with enigmatic guitar layers fused into a power pop sonic energy, 3 Little Wolves open their song Fractured (a bit) with the introspective lyrics, “When you feel like you’re coming down, waiting for the weight to knock you out…”
Fractured (a bit) is set to be included in the Birmingham-based indie bands upcoming album, Fires in the Night, due for release later this Summer.
The single takes us on a journey of relationship tensions and lack of communication as the band sings the hook, “I don’t listen, you don’t listen…”
Singer and guitarist Paul Doddridge discusses the message of the song on a deeper level by saying, “This song is really meaningful to me, in my own current and past relationships. When we play this song live, I always introduce it by saying something like ‘You know when you are with your other half, and everything is right with the world? This song is not about that. It’s about when you want to kill each other.'”
“And that sums Fractured up – relationships are not always plain sailing and lack of communication and understanding can lead to massive frustration on both sides. We hope these are central themes that most people can identify with and resonate with our fans”, concludes the artist, with wisdom.
We love the guitar solo and how cohesive the opus is as a whole, and the vulnerable subject matter that 3 Little Wolves are shining a light on with their release. We have added Fractured (a bit) to our New Music Spotlight playlist and have been immersing ourselves in the wider discography of 3 Little Wolves, including Darkside and Need You More.
