Setting the frequency with a textured landscape that also sounds like the light sound of moving traffic, before expanding into an anthemic beat with stomps and claps, we are already mesmerized by the sound of Sara So Far‘s latest release, Keep On.
“When the start in barren sky, refuse to shine, when the moon, demands to take, what once was mine, I keep on walking, I keep on walking…” sings the rising artist enigmatically and conceptually as she draws us in further to her universe.
Speaking on the creation of the track, Sara So Far says, “One day a friend of mine, who I knew was going through a great deal of trouble at the time, wrote on social media: ‘Just keep walking!’. These words felt so powerful to me and I admired her braveness and optimism. The song ‘Keep On’ was born out of this and singing it gives me courage to KEEP ON, whatever life throws at me. GRIT.”
We are obsessed with this message and love the positivity and optimism that Sara So Far exudes with her artistry. The drums remind us of an iconic Queen or Michael Jackson song, whilst Sara’s vocal delivery and range infuses us with energy.
The rising artist from Brussels expands, “There are no instruments on this track. Instead, a whole bunch of my friends allowed us to record their stomps, claps and shouts and that’s how we built up the song. It gave me a great feeling of community, upholding and supporting one another, much needed after all that has been. Because no one needs to walk this road alone.”
We have added this incredible work of art to our New Music Spotlight playlist and have been immersing ourselves in Sara’s wider discography including her 2021 album, Earth!
