Delivering an immersive and cerebral introduction with bass, guitar details and percussion giving us a hybrid surf-rock energy, we are immediately hypnotized by the latest release from Mo Douglas.
Iconically titled, The Most Expensive Restaurant in Portland, the song expands to feature a protagonist guitar which further dimensionalizes the track lending itself to a sense of 60s and 70s nostalgia that would be a perfect fit for a Tarantino movie.
We are mesmerized by guitar twangs and pulsing rhythm, which fuses garage rock, psychedelia and funk, and have been dancing to the track non-stop!
The energy that Mo brings is high end and luxurious, and we can imagine this composition getting a lot of movie synch deals!
We have added this cinematic masterpiece to our New Music Spotlight playlist. The Most Expensive Restaurant in Portland follows up Douglas’ 2021 album Fry The Onion Gently, which we have also been immersing ourselves in!
