Setting the tone with an immersive and bold sonic experience, Kevin Walsh opens his collaborative single, Embrace The World, with the profound and meaningful lyrics, “If there’s a place for dreams and following your heart, you gotta rise, go forth and make a start, through the barriers you’ll meet and the resistance you’ll defeat, trust your belief and keep drumming your own beat, Embrace The World…”
The epic release is the debut for Kevin Walsh, which he has designed as “a gesture of hope for autism awareness in the community for Ireland and beyond.”
Inspiration for the vocal composition of the track came from supergroups formed by Bob Geldof, Michael Jackson and Irish Women In Harmony, as it features an eclectic mix of talented vocalists; Emma Langford, Ger O’Hanlon, Lisa Curran, Molly Lynch, Rebecca Houlihan, Stephen Gormley, Caroline Kay and Mark Daly.
We are transfixed by the variety of vocal stylings within the composition, and love the energy that each collaborator brings to the song.
Some of the lyrical highlights include “Allow yourself to rise in love and befriend all humankind”, and “It starts with you, reach out and Embrace The World”.
Speaking on the track, Kevin says, “By embracing widely different vocal styles within our super group performance, I wanted to allude to the variety within Autistic diagnoses, as each person on the spectrum is an individual with different support needs and ranges of abilities.”
50% of all proceeds from the single and its related merchandise will be donated towards AsIAm, the national charity providing a one-stop shop for the Autism community in Ireland.
We have added Embrace The World to our New Music Spotlight playlist and cannot wait to hear more from the rising star.
