Immersing us with a crescendo of intricate layered guitars and textures, we are already hypnotized by the frequency of Alec Jordan‘s latest release, SOUL.
The rising artist from Seattle, opens with the introspective lyrics “Maybe your my twin flame, or maybe your just one night I can’t tell, are we written in the star line, cause I’m stuck up in the limelight, are you meant for me?”
The song expands to deliver a romantic opus with the vibrant hook, “you complete my S O U L”.
Speaking on the themes of the track, Alec, who is moving to LA soon says, “SOUL is a love song that describes the willingness to follow someone to the ends of the world, just because you know they are the only thing that truly matters to you.”
The romantic artist delivers an atmospheric vocal and says “All I want to do with my music is make people feel. I want to be the soundtrack to peoples lives and want them to turn to my music when they need a friend.”
“SOUL is all about fun, I wanted to write a song that people can just vibe with and not get too deep but I also wanted something that automatically fits into a party, a road trip, a summer montage, and a late night car ride with the windows down. That is what “SOUL’ is all about!”, continues Alec, as he speaks enthusiastically about his new release.
SOUL was created with co-writer Corey Hallenbeck, aka Jai Hallen. Trey Caldwell contributes enigmatic live drums and Warren Russell delivers production and vocal mix polishing.
When discussing his influences, Alec Jordan cites Blackbear, JP Saxe, Bazzi, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber, although it is clear that he is creating a vibe of his own.
We have added SOUL to our New Music Spotlight playlist and have been exploring Alec Jordan‘s wider discography including Keep It and Oceans.
