Setting the vibe with a high end glistening bell melody and vocal textures, 4NRhythm opens his EP, Everythang 4N with song, Know Now and the conceptual lyrics, “put the beat in my soul and I eat it…”
As the track expands we are taken on a stimulating adventure with refined delivery and flow from 4NRhythm. He delivers introspective lyricism about oneness, his wealth, tequila, weed, the human condition and his optimistic energy. We love how the song features glitches in the production, which give a more cerebral energy to the EP opener.
Speaking on his inspirations, 4NRhythm cites Michael Jackson, Lil Wayne, Drake, Chris Brown, Usher, Jeremiah, Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign and Neyo to name a few, but it is clear the rising artist from Hot Springs is creating a mood of his own.
Next up is Go Through, which 4NRhythm describes as a song “describing my life and all the trials that come with it now that I’m being recognized as an artist.” It’s very clear how people treat each other differently once fame comes into play, and it is refreshing to hear 4NRhythm‘s perspective on this as he sings, “funny how when you get recognition, they don’t know how to approach you…”
What’s New is the third track on the EP, described as “a soulful track that showcases not only a little bit of melodic range, but a deeper insight to the artist himself”. We love the Spanish guitar and the more autobiographical elements of the track which really helps us understand 4NRhythm and his artistry on a more profound level. The hook will stay in your mind forever and we are happy to hear the genre-expansive rising artist sing about mental health and solitude.
The penultimate track is How I Did Dat, which 4NRhythm describes as “an upbeat thumper that’ll make you wanna tell yo mama that she need to bring in the groceries herself”. 4NRhythm‘s flow on this track is sickening and we are in awe of the production fused with his delivery. The song even has a fade out which is really rare to hear these days!
4NRhythm has opened up for NLE Choppa along side Matt Mooluh and Noah Millen. The visionary artist expands, “I’ve also opened up for High Def Gang, and Travis Porter. I also was in the 2021 Indie King Competition where I competed for 25,000.”
Finally, we have Can’t Lie which has a moodier vibe which “leads to a thunderous bass in a metronomic syncopation.” Once again, 4NRhythm shows his prowess with unparalleled flow and intelligent lyricism.
The EP was recorded at BFM Studios in Little Rock, Arkansas. Speaking on the creative process, 4NRhythm says, “I put a few racks into the production and recording as well as the mix and mastering”, which we can tell from the production value being so exquisite.
4NRhythm leaves us with the optimistic words, “Trust the process, believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams… that’s 4N!”
We have added What’s New to our New Music Spotlight playlist and have been immersing ourselves in 4NRhythm wider discography including Garden of Eden and Spa City Savior.
