Enigmatic and syncopated drums with a textured bass line set the vibe for Ringo Harrison‘s latest release, Line 4. The song has an 80s-hybrid energy and featured luscious layered keys which dimensionalize the track.
Line 4, which follows the releases of Ringo Harrison‘s first two singles, Parasitic Karma and God’s Consolation lends itself to a cinematic vibe with a pulsating beat fused with the charismatic piano details.
Ringo Harrison cites People Under the Stairs, NOFX, Frank Zappa, JPEGMAFIA and System of a Down as some of his influences, although it is clear from his compositions that Ringo is creating a sonic landscape of his own.
The artist from Pennsylvania, who used to be in a band called the Vicious Fishes says the intention of the song and his body of work is “about appreciating music”.
Speaking on his creative process, Ringo says, “I got reaaaaaaallllllly high right before”, which we love, as often that amplified connection can help manifest a more authentic output.
Th artwork for Ringo’s three releases, features five hands emanating from a mysterious spiritual figure who has a skull for a face, and a halo with light pouring in to illuminate the being.
We have added Line 4 to our New Music Spotlight playlist and have been immersing ourselves in Ringo Harrison‘s first two singles, Parasitic Karma and God’s Consolation.
