With celestial frequencies and vocal textures, fused with an enigmatic melody, sunset + mine open their new single, All My Hope with atmospheric lyrics painting a picture of the human condition and questioning, “where are you?”
All My Hope is the third single from husband and wife duo Valerie and Rocco Repetski and is produced by award-winning Ian Charlie (of Walla) and mastered by Jett Galindo at The Bakery at Sony Pictures (Colbie Caillat, La La Land original soundtrack).
The song was first written for the funeral of a friend’s newborn baby but has since evolved into a more pop experience. Lyrically it speaks to the darker moments in life, but cements our optimism with the hook, “all my hope is in you…”
The song explodes into a refined 80s-esque vibe, with emotive delivery from Valerie, exquisite vocal production, bright synths and a vibrant featured electric guitar segment. Valerie reminds us of the connection that we deserve to experience with her positive lyricism.
“For years we’ve longed to release a pop project together. We took that leap in 2021 with a series of recording sessions in Los Angeles to share our heart and create this countercultural breath of fresh air. We can’t wait to make you smile!” say sunset + mine.
We love the production which combines pop and electronic dance with organic analogue guitar and have added All My Hope to our New Music Spotlight playlist. We have also been immersing ourselves in the duo’s last two singles Honey Let’s Go and Fix You.
