Smartinelliuk releases subversive commentary with Trappimpegnato

Setting the tone with the sounds of traffic and a car horn, Smartinelliuk opens his conceptual single Trappimpegnato with the voice of a small child.

The child says, “Luca, noi andiamo a fare un giro, vieni?” which translates as “Luca, we’re going for a ride, are you coming?”, to which Luca responds, “No girls, thanks, but I’m Trappimpegnato”.

The song expands to tell the story of Trappimpegnato, with references to yachts, babes, the high life and his creative process. He profoundly delivers the words, “che spero è che arrivi un’emozione… trappo e rimo con diletto,e di fantasia” which translates poetically and vulnerably as “I hope that an emotion will come …trap and rhythm with delight, and fantasy”.

Speaking on the track, our protagonist Luca Martinelli aka Smartinelliuk says that Trappimpegnato is “an ironic song that wants to make fun of the world of trap music.”

Since this release, he has added four more tracks to his discography including Il flusso dei pensieri, Flash Gordon Bleu, Morto di giga and Arriva John Rambo.

The comedic and subversive journey that the artist takes us on is unique and controversial, but laced with emotive lyricism including “Troppo il tempo passato in silenzio a dire non fa niente, ma ora sono qui…” which translates as “Too much time spent in silence to say it doesn’t matter, but now I’m here …”

It is clear from the energy of Smartinelliuk, that the artist wants to be heard, so we have added Trappimpegnato to our New Music Spotlight playlist.
