We were first introduced to Frank Bramble for his emotive collaboration with Kyle Horne and Hanwell, Fall to Flames, so we were extremely excited to experience the latest release from the rising artist, Spaced Out!
Spaced Out opens with cerebral textures, a light and high synth and percussion details that opens up with enigmatic drums as Frank Bramble sings, “there is no after party, when she said come round…”
“I don’t know what to think now, cos I’m really fucking spaced out” continues the Birmingham-based artist with a smile on his face as he giggles, recounting a personal adventure and singing introspectively about how is “on a journey, to see you again”.
Cementing his signature Indie-Hop style, Spaced Out features an emotional glitchy synthesiser, fused with noisy warm acoustic guitars as the song eases us into a bold Hip-Hop drum rhythm.
Speaking on the release, Frank Bramble says, “Picture yourself floating through space, with nothing but the stars and the planets to accompany you and your thoughts. Completely detached and alone, but not lonely.”
We definitely feel like we are on a trip with Spaced Out, and especially love the rap verse where Frank delivers more depth on the connection with his muse on the song. Frank ends the song with the lyrics, “even though I don’t know the words to describe things, I’m Spaced Out”.
The song is less than three minutes in length, which has us reaching immediately for the repeat button so that we can immerse ourselves, once again, in our protagonist’s journey.
Spaced Out has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist and we have also been streaming Frank Bramble’s wider discography including Fall to Flames, Space and Time and The 4AM Song!
