We are immediately hypnotized with the futuristic production, fused with flawless and emotive vocal delivery from John Long as he tells us the poetic story of based on how he met his wife seven years ago.
Speaking on the release, John says, “I really wanted to describe the feelings I went through the day we actually met. It was the day I could almost see into the future and I felt so much joy in that moment.”
We are in love with the lyrics, “I hope she didn’t notice, that I was looking for the one that would last forever”, followed by a super unique and exquisite banjo riff.
John Long sings, “you fell for me” as a pre-chorus before an epic and layered chorus where he professes love for his muse with the title and main hook of the track!
The sonic journey is unique and mesmerising, yet relatable, and we are in awe of John’s vocal delivery and authenticity.
Speaking on his creative process, John says, “My music is heavily influenced by the experiences I have had in my life. As a husband and a father, I carry a strong understanding of the responsibility of love.”
“Through the many highs and lows that I have walked though, music has always been my diary. The music I release is an invitation into my beautiful little world.”
Going deeper on his emotions, the rising artist from Kansas City added, “I always try to keep my music positive and inspirational. I grew up experiencing more tragedy than anyone should.”
